Hello!  I started this blog as a sharing site for those of us wishing to create peaceful schools.  I work in the field of education and enjoy making schools better places.  This blog is a method for us to share ideas and communicate.  Parents, grandparents, educators, and other child advocates who want a better way of life for children will find this site useful.

Your beliefs become your thoughts,

Your thoughts become your words,

Your words become your actions,

Your actions become your habits,

Your habits become your values,

Your values become your destiny.

Mahatma Gandhi

Gandhi understood we have the power to influence our world beginning with our thoughts.  Over the last two decades, our nation focused our attention on the many acts of violence against our individual children through bullying and seemingly random crimes against schools or people in other public places. By focusing our attention on what we don’t want, we create more of the same.  It is my intention that we spread our peace from our thoughts to our words, actions, habits, values, and destiny.   We do this with small actions in our daily lives.

On this blog, we will share how we can help our children become peaceful at home and what we can do in our schools, community, nation, world.  Please feel free to share your experience and ideas.  I look forward to this journey with you, making new friends, and building an on-line community.
